that when people say what aud. they like they sometimes pick versions that have been updated several times...
years ago when I first came to this site I picked the ones with the highest number downloads but I've since noticed that while this high number often indicates a good show, it isn't always the best version of that aud. like the Hollywood 71-08-05/06 shows
or like the 1980-11-29 I was surprised that I liked the earlier Wise version 'GMB.' over the Wise C.M.version.
99% of the time Charlie Miller is a sign that there's an improved sound...
thanks to all those sound guys that keep polishing these old gems!
years ago I had cassettes that were copies of copies of copies... chipmunk vocals and weird edits.
so-The archive is a WONDERFUL thing.

Could be that those earlier versions are the ones you "fell in love with", and no improvement can override the sentimental attachment.
